This classroom, PALS Provider course uses a series of videos and simulated pediatric emergencies to reinforce the important concepts of a systematic approach to pediatric assessment, basic life support, PALS treatment algorithms, effective resuscitation, and team dynamics. The goal of the PALS Course is to improve the quality of care provided to seriously ill or injured children, resulting in improved outcomes.

The initial PALS certification course is scheduled for 2 days.  However, it may be shortened depending on the number and experience of the participants in the class.

HeartCode® PALS is an online comprehensive eLearning program that uses eSimulation technology to allow students to assess and treat patients in virtual healthcare settings.  To enter the course, students must complete the PALS Precourse Self-Assessment. Students are then presented with 12 In-hospital patient cases and a team dynamics lesson. Cases may be repeated as many times as necessary to pass. Upon successful completion of all the patient cases, students must pass the multiple-choice exam with a minimum score of 84%.  Please bring the online completion certificate to the hands-on skills session.

Students who successfully complete the online portion of the course receive a certificate granting them access to a PALS Hands-on Session with an AHA PALS Instructor. Students must successfully complete both the online portion and the hands-on session to receive a PALS Provider course completion card (print or eCard).

All Participants are required to have a course manual.  You can purchase the manual independently or from us.  If you purchase it from us (when registering for the class), you can pick it up in advance of the class or when you show up for class.

Participants receive an AHA 2-year course completion eCard upon successful completion of the course.
