This course builds on the foundation of lifesaving BLS skills, emphasizing the importance of continuous, high-quality CPR.  This advanced course highlights the importance of high-performance team dynamics and communication, systems of care, recognition and intervention of cardiopulmonary arrest, immediate post-cardiac arrest, acute dysrhythmia, stroke, and acute coronary syndromes (ACS).  To take the renewal course, the participant must show their current BLS Provider and ACLS Provider Cards (or eCards).

HeartCode® ACLS is a self-directed, comprehensive eLearning program that uses eSimulation technology to allow students to assess and treat patients in virtual healthcare settings. To enter the course, students must complete a precourse self-assessment. Students will then be presented with a team dynamics lesson and 10 In-hospital patient cases, including a BLS case and 2 megacode cases.

Upon successful completion of all the patient cases, students must pass the written exam with a score of 84%. Students then are able to attend the hands-on session required for full course completion. Bring the online completion certificate with you to the skills testing session.

All Participants are required to have a course manual.  You can purchase the manual independently or from us.  If you purchase it from us (when registering for the class), you can pick it up in advance of the class or when you show up for class.

Participants receive an AHA 2-year course completion eCard upon successful completion of the course.
