BLS -  Basic Life Support Courses

The BLS Course trains participants to promptly recognize several life-threatening emergencies, give high-quality chest compressions, deliver appropriate ventilations and provide early use of an AED.

In the BLS Provider Courses, students participate in simulated clinical scenarios and learning stations. Students work with an AHA BLS Instructor to complete BLS skills practice and skills testing. Students also complete a written exam.

NEW (1/18/2018) -  AHA just announced a BLS Renewal Course.  This 2.5 hour class is geared for participants with a current BLS certification.

AHA Blended Learning (HeartCode) courses combine the flexibility of online training with in-person skills practice and testing.  Through a variety of eLearning assets such as dramatizations, eSimulations, animations, self-directed learning, and interactive activities, this course teaches students BLS knowledge and skills.  After completing the online portion, students attend a structured BLS Hands-On Session with an AHA Instructor. This session focuses on meaningful skills practice, debriefing, team scenarios, discussions of local protocols, and skills testing.

All Participants are required to have a course manual.  You can purchase the manual independently or from us.  If you purchase it from us (when registering for the class), you can pick it up in advance of the class or when you show up for class.

Participants receive an AHA 2-year course completion eCard upon successful completion of the course.

Visit the American Heart Association Website for more information on this course or to purchase a HeartCode Training Course.
